Le 1er janvier 1910, il fonde les \u00abAutomobiles Ettore Bugatti\u00bb avec son partenaire Ernest Friderich. Ettore \u00e9tait un amoureux des chevaux et \u00e9levait lui-m\u00eame des pur-sang (fran\u00e7ais: pur sang, qui se retrouvait \u00e9galement dans les noms de ses v\u00e9hicules). Apr\u00e8s que Sommer a d\u00fb abandonner dans une position de leader avec des dommages au moteur, Wimille et Benoist ont parcouru un tour record apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;autre et une victoire s\u00fbre.
