Painting on a flying De Havilland Vampire for the FFA Museum Altenrhein (Switzerland) with the Swiss Wasp theme. The De Havilland Vampire was developed and completed during the Second World War, but no longer took part in combat operations.
Shortly after the war, the “Vampi” marked the beginning of the jet age in the Swiss military. It was the most modern fighter aircraft of its time. With his Rolls-Royce Goblin radial engine he made his distinctive whistling sounds.
